Dick Whittington runs at Campus West from 11 December to 3 January. Only four of the 27 family performances are priced at the cheapest Standard tier.
This year’s Campus West pantomime is Dick Whittington, running from Friday 11 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. There are 27 family performances, and the price you pay depends less on your seat than on which date you pick: only four performances are sold at the cheapest Standard tier, and they are 15 December, 16 December, 2 January and 3 January.
Campus West publishes the tier for every performance, but on three separate pages, so almost nobody notices. Here they are in one place.
Which dates are cheap
Campus West splits the run into Standard, Premium and Premium Plus, and prices every seat block differently within each. (Campus West, Panto Prices 2026)
| Tier | Rows A to F | Row H | Rows J to R |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | £26 adult, £24 concession | £30 adult, £28 concession | £27 adult, £25 concession |
| Premium | £28.50 adult, £26 concession | £31.50 adult, £29.50 concession | £29.50 adult, £27 concession |
| Premium Plus | £30.50 adult, £28.50 concession | £32.50 adult, £30.50 concession | £31.50 adult, £29.50 concession |
The gap between the cheapest and the dearest family seat is £8.50. On a family of four that is £34, which is worth a Tuesday.
The four Standard performances are:
- Tuesday 15 December, 6.30pm
- Wednesday 16 December, 6.30pm
- Saturday 2 January, 2.30pm
- Sunday 3 January, 2.30pm
(Campus West, Standard Panto Performance Listings)
Premium covers Friday 11 December 6.30pm, Saturday 12 December 6.30pm, Sunday 13 December 6.30pm, Monday 28 December 10.30am, and both Thursday 31 December performances. (Campus West, Premium Panto Performance Listings)
Everything else in the run is Premium Plus, which is all 17 performances between 12 December and 30 December that are not on the two lists above. (Campus West, Premium Plus Panto Performance Listings)

There is no performance on 14, 17, 18 or 25 December, or on 1 January. Christmas Eve has two, and both are morning and afternoon. As at 5 September the 2.30pm on Christmas Eve was the only family performance showing a seat count, at 15 left. (Campus West, Pantomime 2026: Dick Whittington)
School performances are not on the public listings at all. Campus West asks schools to email for dates, times and prices.
The group discount, and its catch
Campus West offers a group rate on the three family tiers, and it is worth more than the concession rate. On Standard, four front-row tickets bought together are £88, or £22 each, against £26 on the door price and £24 concession.
The rules are strict. The booking must be four tickets, or a multiple of four, all in one transaction, and at least one must be a concession. Campus West counts a concession as a senior of 60 or over, a student with an NUS card or local college ID, a child of 17 or under, a carer or a disabled customer. Zebra card discounts do not apply to panto at all.
Access, carers and babies
Three things Campus West states plainly and most venues bury:
- Wheelchair users get a free companion ticket, bookable online once you are registered in the system.
- Carers do not get a free ticket. Carers and disabled guests pay the concession rate instead.
- Babies of 12 months or under do not need their own seat, but you must add them to the booking using the “STANDARD Incl. BABY 12 Months & Under” ticket type, which costs nothing extra. Change the ticket type in the “Change My Seats” step. The age is judged on the day of the performance, not the day you book.
The adult version
Dick Whittington “Unzipped” is the same story played for grown-ups, strictly 18+, running about 2 hours 30 minutes including a 20 minute interval. All ten performances are at 7.30pm: 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and 30 December, and 2 January. (Campus West, Blue Panto 2026: Dick Whittington “Unzipped”)
Adult prices are £30.50 in rows A to F, £34.50 in row H and £33.50 in rows J to R. There are no group or Zebra discounts on these. Campus West says parking is free after 6pm, which covers every Unzipped performance and the 6.30pm family shows.
Who is in it
Keiran Parrot plays Dick Whittington and Thomas Cove is the dame, Sarah the Cook. The rest of the principal cast is Lilia Wood as Fairy Bowbells, Dora Gee as Queen Rat, Joe Sargent as Tommy the Cat, Emily O’Sullivan as Alice and Anthony Orme as Alderman Fitzwarren. It is written by JoJo Panto Scripts, the writing partnership of Jonas Cemm and Joe Sargent, and directed by Cemm, who is marking ten years on the Campus West panto. (West End Best Friend, 16 May 2026)
Getting there
Campus West is at The Campus, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6BX, a few minutes’ walk from Howardsgate and the station. Car park tariffs across the town, including which ones are free, are on our parking in Welwyn Garden City page. The venue was also shortlisted for a national cinema award this year, which we covered in the Campus West BIFA vote story.
What it means for you
- Move your date, not your seat. The same seat costs £26 on 15 December and £30.50 on 23 December.
- The two January dates are the cheapest family option, and they are also the two least likely to sell out early.
- Book in fours if you can. £22 a head on Standard beats every other price in the run.
- Christmas Eve is going first. It was the only family performance with a seat count showing on 5 September.
